Three new locations added

Sorry, it’s been a little while as the last couple of months have been pretty hectic as I started a new unit on my OCA Photography Degree and a steady stream of work has been coming in. In those intervening months, I have shot three new locations. Two in Ashford, one in Sidcup.

In January, I may or may not have had to attend a speed awareness course regarding the use of the UK’s Smart Motorways in Ashford. The course was actually incredibly informative and left me wondering why things like this are not made a compulsory course for all drivers. Many people in the UK know that Smart Motorways have been introduced, but not really why and how they function and finding out about this was highly informative and something that all road users should be aware of. Then perhaps, the ever cramped UK motorways may actually work the way they are supposed to! But, as I said, I took the opportunity to capture two of the locations listed in Ashford.

Also, as part of my last assignemnt for my new unit I did a studio photo shoot at a studio in Sidcup. There was a food bank location just five minutes away, so I went and got the picture before the light faded.

In other news, my work on The Food Bank Photo Project has been highlighted in the last couple of weeks as an OCA Student Story which I am super pleased about and as part of a OCA photography group I am a part of I will be discussing the project in May in our monthly meetings which I am both excited and anxious about

Finally, I am just sitting down to list some of the outstanding locations I have to capture in Brighton. I’m hoping this brings me closer or over that 100 goal I set (and failed to achieve last year)!
