The Food Bank Photo Project makes its first donation

On a day that the ambulance workers are striking I went out with the intention of making what I hope will be the first of many donations to my local food bank from the sales of the zine ‘Twenty-five Food Banks’. Whilst I had hoped to blaze through the first 50 copies and be on to the next printing, it has raised £90 so far.

I went down to my local food bank and asked what they needed. It turns out they post this on their site so I went over to Tesco and managed to get most of the items they said they were low on, or at least add to these low stocks.

Thank you

I just want to say thanks to those that have supported the project and to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I will continue to shoot food banks throughout and have even pondered about adding some warm banks, or warm spaces as they are otherwise known, as there are quite a few listed in my local area on the www.warmwlecome.co.uk website. It may also get me to my self imposed target which is slipping away from me as 2022 comes to an end. We will see, but again thank you and see you in the 2023!

Pauline from the Eastbourne Foodbank alongside myself and the donation.
